• Deselect: Ctrl + D
  • Add image in layer: Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V
  • Zoom In: Ctrl + +
  • Zoom Out: Ctrl + -
  • Undo: Ctrl + Z
  • Redo: Ctrl + Shift + Z
  • Fill Background Color: Ctrl + Backspace
  • Fill Foreground Color: Alt + Backspace
  • Move Selection While Drawing: Select shape and Shift (for moving within selection)
  • Perfect Shape Selection: Select shape and Shift + Alt (for a perfect shape, release mouse first, not Shift + Alt)
  • Auto Create New Layer: Ctrl + J
  • Show Transform Controls (Resize): Ctrl + T
  • Open File: Ctrl + O

How to Change Image Background:

  1. Select Image: Use the Quick Selection Tool (W) or Object Selection Tool (under Quick Selection Tool in the toolbar). Make sure the layer is unlocked.
  2. Duplicate Layer: Press Ctrl + J (no need to inverse the selection).
  3. Remove Background: Delete or mask the unwanted background layer.
  4. Add New Background: Insert or paint a new background layer.
